Bio

Sadie Marie Hilmer was born 16 March 1917 in Platte County, Nebraska, the second child and eldest daughter of Frank J. and Thiebe (Oltmans) Hilmer. She married Richard Curtis August 12, 1940, in Columbus, Nebraska. They lived many years in Omaha. Survivors were her three daughters, Velda Harris, Judy Carey and Sandra Vandermark, several grandchildren, her two sisters (Elsie Staub and Pearl Catlett), and three of her brothers, Clarence, Kenneth and Norman Hilmer. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2000, her parents, and two brothers (Edward and Harvey Hilmer).
