Bio

An Obituary from "Gatesville Messenger & Star Forum," Thursday, 1-12-1984: Rex Von Sexton, 51-year-old Gatesville rancher and longtime Central Texas resident, died Monday in a Temple hospital. Services were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Scott's Funeral Chapel. Rev. Rex Tilly officiated, and burial was in Restland Cemetery. Mr. Sexton, son of the late Richard E. and Dolly Sexton, was born in Gatesville Nov. 8, 1932. He was reared in Gatesville and spent his life in ranch work in this area. He moved to Lampasas in 1965 and returned to Gatesville last year. Survivors include five brothers, Norris Sexton and Billy Sexton, both of Gatesville, Clyde Sexton of Glen Rose, Raymon Sexton of Pecos and Don Sexton of Lewisville; and 16 nieces and nephews.
