Curry were shocked to hear of his death at Grand Island Thursday, Oct. 19. The body was brought her to the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Owen Curry, from which place the funeral will be held, Tuesday, Oct. 24, at 2 o'clock p.m. ***** Grand Island (Nebraska) Daily Independent Thursday, 19 October 1911, page 1 Dies at Hospital James P. Curry, son of Mr. and Mrs. Owen Curry, residing five miles west of Wood River passed away this morning at 6 o'clock at St. Francis hospital. Mr. Curry had been gradually declining in health for some time, and two days ago he was brought to the hospital. Death resulted from heart failure. Mr. Curry was born in Hall county June 17, 1873 (sic), and lived to be thirty-eight years and four months old. Besides his parents there are six sisters, four of them in Oregon, and one brother to mourn his loss. Funeral arrangements will be made later, when relatives are heard from. Interment will be made at Wood River.
