Bio

First married to Charles Boyd (Charlie B) Killinger 17 March 1921; he died in 1952 and is buried in Pennsylvania. Their sons are Maxwell Theodore Killinger, John Boyd Killinger, Charles Richard (Buck) Killinger. John's resting place is at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, Kennewick, WA. Max and Buck are at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard, WA. Buck introduced her to Ole, whom he knew from working on the WA Ferry System. Married to John (Ole) Harold Alm 31 Jan 1956. they lived on beautiful property on a hill (then outside Port Orchard on Woods Rd). Her home didn't have indoor toilets until about 1961, so to the outhouse we went! She raised chickens which her youngest son Buck absolutely detested, since he was in charge of cleaning and collecting eggs. But it saw them through lean times. I never, ever, heard her called by her given name. To me, she was "Aunt Sis" (she's my father's half-sister); to my cousins she was "Ma"; and others simply called her "Babe". She was a soft-spoken, loving and caring woman who was immensely loved by her entire family. ~ Niece Karen Upchurch Bowman
