Ed Janek Died In Temple Oct. 17th The death of Ed Janek which occurred Wednesday October 17 in a Temple sanitarium brought sorrow to a large family connection and circle of friends in West. Deceased had been ill for more than a year with a tumor on the brain. He was taken to Temple from the family home about a week ago, but there was nothing medical science could do. He had suffered blindness for the past year as a result of the growth on his brain. He is survived by a wife and nine months old baby girl, one brother, Rudolph Janek of the J.R. Polasek hardware store, and four sisters. The funeral was held Thursday from the Catholic Church and internment at the Catholic Cemetery.
