Bio

John Veselka, 70, of Abbott, died October 13 at West. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. October 14 at Kotch Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. October 15 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Msgr. B.J. Zientek as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery. Mr. Veselka was born February 5, 1915, in West. He had lived in the West area all of his life. He was a retired farmer and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Survivors include his brother, Joseph Veselka of West; two sisters, Mary Veselka of Abbott and Mrs. Louis (Janie) Nors of West. Pallbearers were Richard Veselka, Joseph Veselka, Malcolm Haberl, Steve Sulak, Fred Mechell and John Nelson.
