Mrs. J. Veselka, 83, Dies; Rites Held Tuesday Mrs. Johanna Veselka, 83, of Route 2, Abbott, died at 8:35 p.m. Sunday at her home after a long illness. Requiem mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's catholic Church of the Assumption in West. Rev. Jerry Smith was celebrant. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Monday at Kotch Funeral Home in West. Mrs. Veselka was born near West and lived in this area all her life. She was a member of St. Mary and St. Anne Altar-Rosary Society. Her husband, John Veselka, died in 1929. Survivors are two sons, John Veselka and Joseph Veselka, both of Route 2, Abbott; two daughters, Mary Veselka of Waco and Mrs. Louis (Janie) Nors of West; one brother, Joseph Mynar of West; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were John J. Mynar and Edward V. Mynar both of West, Ben Neckar of Waco, Ben Mynar of Abbott, Tom Neckar of Victoria, and Ben Mynar of Arlington.
