Bio

Marie J. Tobola, age 70, of 405 N. Roberts Street in West, passed away early Wednesday afternoon, November 22, 1989 at West Community Hospital. A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel by Msgr. George Doskocil. Graveside servides were held at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Mary's Cemetery with Rev. Ed Karasek officiating. Mrs. Tobola was born February 6, 1919 in McLennan County, the daughter of Fred and Marie Zahirniak. She married Ernest J. Tobola, Sr. on August 5, 1940 in Waco. He preceded her in death on October 6, 1986. She was a housewife and homemaker. She was also a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption and S.P.J.S.T. Lodge No. 54, both in West. Survivors include two sons, Ernest Tobola, Jr. and Harry Lee Tobola, both of West; three daughters, Betty Chudej and Patsy Jones, both of West, and Kathy Lozano of Penelope; one brother, Harry Zahirniak of West; two sisters, Irene Votaw and Judy Rosenauer, both of Waco; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
