Bio

Willie Stojanik, age 83, of West, died Friday, Nov. 12, at a local hospital. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Rev. B.J. Zientek officiating. Burial was at St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Friday at Kotch Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Stojanik was born March 18, 1899 in Taylor. He had lived in Granger for a number of years. He had been a resident of West for the past 44 years. He was a retired farmer and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Julie Stojanik; a daughter, Mrs. Harvey (Martha) Prnka of West; two brothers, Louis Stojanik of Corn Hill and Joe Stojanik of Fayetteville; two sisters, Clara Vrazel of Fayetteville and Annie Chasak of Granger; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Jody Dvorak, Johnny Dvorak, Larry Ondrej, George Prnka, Johnny Pavlasek and Eugene Gerik.
