Requiem Mass Held Wed. For Mrs. Soukup Requiem mass for Mrs. Louise Soukup of West was held at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Rev. B.J. Zientek officiated. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary was recited at Kotch Chapel in West, Tuesday. Mrs. Soukup, 75, was dead on arrival at a Waco hospital Tuesday. Mrs. Soukup was born in Yugoslavia and had lived in the West area for 64 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West and the Altar-Rosary Society of the Church of Assumption. Her husband died in 1952. Surviving is three sons, Joseph Soukup and Johnnie Soukup of Ross, Fr. Soukup of Lacy-Lakeview; two daughters, Mrs. Gilbert (Mary) Wachsmann of Lacy-Lakeview and Mrs. Frank (Annie) Skerik of Ross; one brother, Louis Jaska of West; and 18 grandchildren. Pallbearers were Emil Soukup, Frank Losak, Jodie Wachsmann, Albert Jaska, Louis Jaska and Frank Soukup. The West News, West, Texas, Volume 80, No. 42, Ed. 1, Friday, February 5, 1971, page 1
