John Snokhous Claimed by Death John Snokhous of Route 2, West, died at 11:23 Saturday morning in a Waco hospital at the age of 61. He had been in ill health for some time, suffering a heart ailment. Funeral services were held at the West Catholic Church at 9 a.m. Monday, Rev. George Doskocil officiating. Mr. Snokhous was born in McLennan County and had lived here all his life. He formerly operated a blacksmith shop at West, but gave up this work to engage in farming in the Leroy community some thirty years ago. He was a member of the KJT Lodge. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Snokhous; three sons, George of Waco, Jerry and August of West; two daughters, Mrs. Tillie Jupe of West and Miss Sophia Snokhous of West; four brothers, Louis, Steve, and Joe, all of West, and Paul Snokhous of Fort Worth; five sisters, Mrs. Joe Rejcek, Mrs. August Pustejovsky, Mrs. Frank Kral, Mrs. Frank Polansky, all of West, and Mrs. Annie Mason of Marlin.
