Marcella Seith Penick, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed away October 8, 2004 in Houston, Texas. She is survived by her beloved spouse of fifty-eight years, Jack L. Penick; sons, David L. Penick and wife Margaret of New Orleans, Thomas D. Penick of Houston; grandchildren; Marcella Best, Mary and Jacob Penick, all of New Orleans, and Jacqulyn Penick of Houston. Marcella was preceded in death by parents, Frank and Rosie Seith of West, Texas; son, James F. Penick; grandson, Thomas L. Penick of Houston. Marcella was born April 13, 1921 in West, Texas. She attended the University of Texas in Austin, where she met Jack. They married, moved to Houston for two years, resided in Corpus Christi for twenty-six years prior to returning to Houston for the remainder of her life. She was a member of the St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, The Women's Club and the Choir and was active in the Charity Guild of Catholic Women, the Junior League, Memorial Women's Club/Newcomers Club and numerous bridge clubs. The family will receive visitors from 6:00-7:00 p.m., October 10, 2004, with the Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. at J.B. Earthman - Tanglewood Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m., October 11, 2004, with Father Cahoon officiating at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church; 11720 Joan of Arc Drive Houston, Texas 77024.
