A.J. Pustejovsky, Crash Victim, Last Rites Held Albin J. Pustejovsky died at 10:20 a.m. Friday in a Waco hospital. Mr. Pustejovsky was critically injured when his butane truck overturned at 4:15 Sunday afternoon about seven miles west of West. The truck skidded into a tree and pinned him underneath for more than an hour. Funeral services were held at 9 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Church of the Assumption. Rev. George Doskocil and Rev. James Quilter officiated. Burial was in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at the family residence. Connally Funeral Home was in charge. The body was taken to the family residence on Saturday and lay in state until the time for the service. Mr. Pustejovsky was the Gulf agent in West for over 16 years and Mrs. Pustejovsky may continue handling the agency, however, she has not reached a definite decision. He was the son of Joe and Frances Pustejovsky who had come to Texas from Czechoslovakia. He was born in West and would have celebrated his birthday on February 12. His wife is the former Leona Hykel. He belonged to K.C., KJT, SPJST, and the Longhorn Club. He had been a member of the Chamber of Commerce for many years and had served as financial secretary for the Juniors in KJT. He is survived by his widow; four children, Joan Pustejovsky, Albin Pustejovsky, Jr., Leon, and Alois Pustejovsky; three brothers, Willie Pustejovsky of Penelope, Louis Pustejovsky of Abbott and Anton Pustejovsky of Hillsboro; four sisters, Mrs. Othillie Roznovsky of Penelope, Mrs. Mary Sinkule, Mrs. Agnes Sinkule and Mrs. Sophia Kubala, all of Hillsboro. Pallbearers were Adolph Gerik, Johnny Uptmor, Raymond Klish, August Pustejovsky, Albin Macik and Joe D. Pustejovsky. Honorary pallbearers were all the Gulf personnel in the Houston office and in the Waco district.
