Mrs. John Eddie (Mary) Marek, 68, of 412 Playdium Dr. died Sunday at a local hospital. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Kotch Funeral Home Chapel by Monsignor George Doskocil. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Rev. B.J. Zientek as celebrant. Burial was at St. Mary's Cemetery. Mrs. Marek was born May 23, 1914 in McLennan County, the daughter of Bedrich Losak and Annie Soukup, and had lived in the West area all of her life. She was married to John Eddie Marek in 1942 in West. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband; a son, Johnnie J. Marek and wife, Betty, of Bellmead; a brother, Frank Losak and wife, Lillian, of Bellmead; and two grandsons, David and Steven Marek of Bellmead. Pallbearers were Joseph F. Soukup, Jodie Young, Louis Losak, Freddy Losak, Frank J. Soukup, Billy Joe Losak, Alfons A. Marek, and Frank F. Soukup.
