Bio

Mrs. Charlie (Margaret) Makovy, 64, of 1008 South Harrison, died Monday morning at a Waco hospital. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Monsignor George Doskocil as celebrant. Burial followed at St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Mrs. Makovy was born March 7, 1920, in Hill County. She had lived in the Waco-West area most of her life. She was married to Charlie Makovy on Oct. 1, 1946, in West. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the K.J.Z.T. Society No. 11. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Ernie Makovy of Arlingont and Leo Makovy of West; four daughters, Mrs. Tommy (Jeanette) Petter and Nancy Makovy, both of West, Mrs. Tommy (Barbara) Moore of Lacy-Lakeview and Mrs. Doug (Bernice) Dulock of Arlington; three brothers, Alfred Kaluza and John Kaluza, both of West, and Rudy Kaluza of Waco; and 13 grandchildren. Pallbearers were Raymond Tichavsky, James Kaluza, Johnny Kaluza, Edward Kaluza, Ricky Kaluza, Freddie Kaluza and Jeffrey Makovy. Kotch Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
