Lillie (Kocian) Laubert, age 94, of West, passed away late Thursday evening, September 5, 2024 at West Rest Haven in West. A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, with Rev. Timothy Vaverek as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Lillie was born November 30, 1929 in West, the daughter of Pete and Millie (Nors) Kocian. She attended the old Alligator and Cottonwood Schools. On October 25, 1948 she was united in marriage to Alvin Joseph "Ollie" Laubert in West. Ollie preceded her in death on October 16, 2022. Lillie was a lifelong and faithful member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption. She was also a member of Catholic Daughters of America Court #829. She was a seamstress for Woods Manufacturing in Waco for 6 years and Lorch Manufacturing in West for 28 years before retiring in 1998. Lillie enjoyed quilting, gardening, baking, cooking, canning, playing bingo at the rest home, and doing arts and crafts. She loved spending time with her family and cooking lunch for them every Sunday. Lillie is also preceded in death by her parents; a great grandson, Logan Reid Kaluza; a brother, Willie Kocian; and sisters, Albina Pavelka, Sophie Bazant, and Martha Lander. Survivors include her children, Joyce Schroeder and husband Joe of West, Richard "Ollie" Laubert and wife Deana of West, Barbara Wachsmann and husband Joe of Waco, and Diann Sulak and husband Mike of Hillsboro; grandchildren, Troy and Cheryl Schroeder, Jeffrey and Liz Schroeder, Brian Laubert, Becky and Matt Kudelka, Alan Laubert, Leann and Nathan Kaluza, Mark and Carolyn Wachsmann, Lisa and Chris Spates, Misty and Anthony Avila, Kevin and Christina Sulak, and Brent and Brandi Sulak; great grandchildren, Alexis Schroeder, Reid Schroeder, Lillian "Lilly" Schroeder, Isabelle "Izzy" Schroeder, Brayden Kudelka, Noah Kaluza, Oliver "Ollie" Kaluza, Audrey Kaluza, Andy Wachsmann, Emma Wachsmann, Kara Wachsmann, Jacob Spates, Eli Spates, Brandon Avila, Skylar Avila, Travis Sulak, Victoria Sulak, Brinley Sulak, Michaela Sulak, and Addalyn Sulak; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Troy Schroeder, Jeffrey Schroeder, Mark Wachsmann, Brian Laubert, Alan Laubert, Kevin Sulak and Brent Sulak. Honorary Pallbearers are Becky Kudelka, Leann Kaluza, Lisa Spates, and Misty Avila. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the West Ambulance Association or the charity of your choice.
