Bio

Annie Krenek, age 97 of West, passed away June 18, 1999 in West Rest Haven. A rosary was recited at 2:30 p.m. June 21 in St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, with Mass of Christian Burial following at 2:45 p.m., with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery near West. Mrs. Krenek was born May 29, 1902 in Mount Calm, Texas and had lived in Waco for a number of years. She had lived in Lubbock for 25 years and was self employed in the embroidery business prior to moving to West in 1968. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, St. Mary's Altar Rosary Society, K.J.Z.T. Society No. 11 and Catholic Daughters of America Court No. 829. Mrs. Krenek is preceded in death by her husband John Krenek, who died May 27, 1967. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers were Lambert Pustejovsky, Johnnie Krenek, Daniel Kershen, Lawrence Hlavaty, Eric Kershen and Robert Urbanovsky. Kotch Funeral Home of West was in charge of arrangements.
