Joe Kolar Of West Dies Joseph Kolar, 91, of West Haven, formerly of 907 North Marable, died Saturday afternoon in the West hospital. Requiem Mass was celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, Rev. George Doskocil as celebrant. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Monday at Kotch Funeral Home Chapel in West. Mr. Kolar was born in Czechoslovakia. He had lived in the West area 80 years. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption and KJT Society No. 11. Mr. Kolar worked for a number of years for West High School as custodian and bus driver. His wife, Mrs. Anna Kolar, died Aug. 2, 1971. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Hattie Kocian and Mrs. Joe (Emily) Horsak, of West, Mrs. Willa Mae Vavra of Ennis and Mrs. Louis (Irene) Cmelka of Houston; three sons, Joe R. Kolar of Houston and Ben Kolar and Leo Kolar, both of Los Angeles, Cal.; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were grandsons.
