Bio

Pioneer Resident Claimed by Death Vaclav Hutyra, 82, pioneer resident of this community, passed away at his home near Ross on Friday, March 6th. Funeral services were held from the residence at 9:15 a.m. and at the Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Rev. Lad. Klimitchek officiating. Interment was at the Catholic cemetery. Mr. Hutyra was born in Czechoslovakia, coming to the United States at the age of 12. He had resided in this section for the past 36 years. Surviving are his widow; three daughters, Mrs. D. Kramr, Mrs. F.W. Lichnovsky and Mrs. Sophie Opella; three sons, Charles, John and Louis Hutyra. The West News, West, Texas, Volume 52, No. 42, Ed. 1, Friday, March 13, 1942, page 1.
