Ernest Hutyra, 46, Dies Feb. 17 In Houston Hospital Ernest D. Hutyra, 46, of Route 2, West, died at 10:50 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 17 in a Houston hospital. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, with Rev. Gerald Smith officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery, with Military graveside rites. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18 in Kotch Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Hutyra was a native of West. He was a farmer and an employee of Fleetwood Trailer Co. of Waco. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption; Knights of Columbus, Council 2305; KJT Lodge 31; VFW Post 4819 and was a veteran of World War II. He married Miss Olga Knapek on May 26, 1947. Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Miss Jeanette Hutyra; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Hutyra of Abbott; two brothers, Joe Hutyra and George Hutyra of Bellmead and three sisters, Mrs. Carolyn Gerik and Mrs. Irene McGee of West and Mrs. Helen Schutza of Bellmead. Pallbearers were Eddie Kubala, George Polansky, Henry Sykora, Frankie Hutyra, Edward Cepak and Alfred Hlavenka.
