Joseph Hanzelka, 86, of Lacy-Lakeview died Thursday, November 8, 1979 in West Community Hospital. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 10 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in West, the Rev. Gene Shepard as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery in West. Mr. Hanzelka was born in Tours and lived in West most of his life. He had lived in Lacy-Lakeview 15 years. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and a charter member of the Knights of Columbus Council 2305 in West. He married Marie Foitek Nov. 14, 1914, in West. She died in 1955. Survivors include a son, Jimmie Hanzelka of Arlington; five daughters, Mrs. Edward (Lillian) Traywick of Lacy-Lakeview, Christine Hanzelka of West, Mrs. Antone (Lois) Rejcek of Route 1, West, Mrs. Victor (Martha) Snapka of Irving and Mrs. Eugene (Dorothy) Holacka of Fort Worth; 28 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
