Mrs. Mary Haidik Died at Her Home Late Sunday Night Mrs. Mary Haidik, 79, a resident of West for the past 45 years, died at her home at 11:30 o'clock Sunday night, January 16. Funeral services were held at the daughter's home, Mrs. J.F. Urbanovsky, Wednesday morning at 10:30 o'clock. Rev. Lad Klimicek officiated. Interment was at the Catholic Cemetery. The survivors are her two daughters, Mrs. J.F. Urbanovsky and Mrs. Fred Holchak of Waxahachie; five sons, Chas. F. of Dallas, John W. of Hillsboro, Frank G. of West, Joe E. of Beaumont, and L.E. of the U.S. Navy; one brother, Chas. Prasifka of Ellinger and 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were: Emil Jerabek, Jos. Svacek, Frank Cocek, Louis Jecmenek, Aug. Morris, Robert Cervenka, E.E. Walla and Clement Deiterman. Mrs. Haidik was born in the village of Bordovice in Moravia, Czechoslovakia on Sept. 17, 1864. When nine years old, she accompanied her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Prasifka, to Texas. She lived with them in Fayetteville and in Taylor. After her marriage to John Haidik, she moved to West. Her husband died on July 5, 1911.
