Services Held Wednesday For A.J. Chudej Ambrose J. Chudej, 84, of Lacy-Lakeview, died Monday night in a Waco hospital. Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday in Connally Chapel. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Rev. Ralph Brennan and Rev. Pat Murphy officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery at West. Mr. Chudej was born Dec. 7, 1886, in McLennan County and lived in the city for the past 23 years. He was a retired cabinet maker, a veteran of World War I and a member of the West American Legion. Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Herman (Helen) Skerik of Waco; two sons, Tony A. Chudej of Lacy-Lakeview, and Henry J. Chudej of Lacy-Lakeview; three sisters, Mrs. Annie Kudelka, Mrs. Bessie Juroch and Mrs. Cecila Kudelka, all of West; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
