Bio
Mrs. Garland (Barbara) Beavers, age 54 of Elm Mott, passed away Monday evening in a Temple hospital. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Kotch Funeral Home Chapel by Msgr. George Doskocil. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Mary's Catholic Church, with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, West. Mrs. Beavers was born June 2, 1937 in Dallas and had lived in the West-Elm Mott area most of her life. She graduated from West High School in 1955 and was employed at Montgomery Ward for 10 years. Mrs. Beavers was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in West and married Garland Beavers February 23, 1963. Survivors include her husband of Elm Mott, her mother, Mrs. Hattie D. Lednicky of West; one brother Eugene E. Lednicky of Palmyra, Tennessee; two sisters, Virginia M. Webb of Georgetown and Dolores A. Kern of West.
