Bio
Mr. Anton H. Nekuza, 84, died Sunday, March 6, 2005, at his home in Ennis. He was born Jan. 2, 1921 in Ennis, the son of Anton J. and Annie Kudrna Nekuza. He was reared in Ennis where he attended school. On Jan. 23, 1954 he was married to Agnes Taraba. After their marriage they lived in Ennis. He was employed by the Texas Highway Dept., retiring in 1982. He was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Agnes, of Ennis; a son and his wife, Dennis and Vickie Nekuza of Ennis; a daughter and her husband, Andrea and Jeff Diehl of CA; a brother, Raymond Nekuza; 2 grand-children, Ashlee and Kristin Nekuza; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Lorraine Wade and Diana Smith and 4 sisters, Mary Zabonik, Cecilia Liska, Milddred Vitovsky and Adell Svehlak. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Keever Chapel. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Johns Catholic Church with Rev. Fred Caldwell as celebrant. Interment will be in St Josephs Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary. Serving as pallbearers will be Stanley Liska, Tony Vitovsky, Paul Nekuza, Louis Zabojnik, Tony Liska and James Sanders.
