Bio
Decatur: Ima Wave Belknap, 91, a retired RN, went to be with our Lord, Saturday, June 29, 2013 in Decatur. Funeral is 10:30 a.m Wednesday, July 3rd at Sycamore Baptist Church with Rev. Casey Lewis officiating. Interment: Sycamore Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home. Pallbearers include Randy Hardee, Cecil Hardee, Lenny Hardee, Jerry Duke, Shaun Belknap, Kirstie Caruthers, Angela Duke, Niki Belknap, Shawn Belknap and Ashley Belknap. Ima was born June 7, 1922 in Leo, Texas to Raymond and Maggie (Eason) Mathis. She was united in marriage to Austin Wilson Belknap on January 16, 1943 in Gainesville, Texas. She was a member of the Sycamore Baptist Church. Left behind to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Ruth Ann Hardee and husband Larry of Alvord and Mary Loo Duke and husband Cecil of Ringold, Texas; son, Henry E. Belknap and wife Linda of Alvord; 10 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; three sisters; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Ima was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Joyce Gayle Belknap; brother, Jack Forest Mathis; and grandson, Bryan Joseph Ledet. Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Decatur, Texas, 940/627-5959
