Bio

Mrs. Delila Alford [Walker] Sheldon Mrs. Delia Alford Sheldon, daughter of Russell and Martha [Rogers] Alford died Wednesday, Dec. 27 [1933], at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Edgar Tribble of Marcola [Lane County, OR]. she suffered a severe paralytic stroke early this year from which she never recovered. Mrs. Sheldon spent her early life on her father's farm just north of Harrisburg [Linn County, OR]. On March 4, 1873, she was married to James W. Walker. Of their seven children, five are now living. Jonnie H. [should be R.] Walker died in infancy, and Mary Jane Walker Morgan died in 1906. Mr. Walker died on April 4, 1890. Mrs. Sheldon was later married to Garrison Sheldon. since his death about two years ago she has made her home with her several children. She leaves one son, Jesse F. Walker of Salem [Lane County, OR]; four daughters, Mrs. Mahlon Hawk [Ozena Ellen] of Oswego [Clackamas County, OR], Mrs. Lee Chalker [Perl Frances] of North Bend [Coos County, OR], Mrs. Green Fawver [Ida May] of Junction City [Lane County, OR], and Mrs. Edgar Tribble [Tempy Elizabeth] of Marcola [Lane County, OR]; 36 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, two brother, six sisters and other relatives. Funeral services for Mrs. Sheldon were held Friday [Dec. 29, 1933] afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Alford cemetery [Harrisburg, Linn County, OR]. ~~~~~~~~~~~
