DAILY CAPITAL JOURNAL Salem, Marion Co., OR Friday, 28 August 1896 J.C. Alford, aged about 49 years, died at Coburg, August 27, 1896, of dropsy. Deceased leaves a wife and two daughters. One of the daughters still resides at home and the other is Mrs. Charles Goodale, of Coburg. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow and the remains will be interred in the Coburg I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Rev. Matthews officiating.
