Henry married Willie Mae Pokluda February 22, 1949. --- Henry J. Holecek, age 57, of Rt. 1, West, passed away Saturday, March 23, 1985 in West. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, March 25 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of the Assumption with Msgr. B.J. Zientek as celebrant. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel by Msgr. George Doskocil. Mr. Holecek was born November 2, 1927 in West and had lived here most of his life. He married Willie Mae Pokluda November 22, 1949 in Abbott. He was self-employed in the construction business. He was a member of the V.F.W. and American Legion of West. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of the Assumption. He is survived by his wife, Willie Mae Holecek of West; three sons, David Holecek of Chalk Bluff, Tommy Holecek and Nathan Holecek, both of West; two daughters, Jackie Davis and Rachel Holecek, both of West; his mothers, Mrs. Rosie Holecek of West; two brothers, Larry Holecek of Ross and Lumir Holecek of Elm Mott; three sisters, Marcella George of Trinidad, Mary Ann Hykel and Milada Mazanec, both of West and five grandchildren. Pallbearers were Larry Hykel, George Hykel, Steven Holecek, Mike Hutyra, Roy James Hutyra, James Holecek, Gregory Holecek and Jim Holecek. Members of V.F.W. Post 4819 of West served as Honor Guard.
