Rose Juroch and Jerry M. Holecek were married November 22, 1925. They lived in West, Texas. Rose and Jerry had six children. Henry John Holecek, Marsella Jerlene "Marsie" Holecek George, Mary Ann Holecek Hykel, Milada Frances Holecek Mazanec, Lumir Alexander "Luke" Holecek, and Larry Mike Holecek. Jerry was a Farmer by trade. Rose was a housewife. --------- Rosie Holecek, age 84, of West, passed away early Sunday morning, November 8, 1992 at West Rest Haven. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Monday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel by Msgr. George Doskocil. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Marys Catholic Church of the Assumption with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Marys Cemetery. Mrs. Holecek was born January 30, 1908, the daughter of Jan and Marie Juroch. She attended St. Marys School and West High School and was a resident of the West area all her life. She married Jerry M. Holecek on November 22, 1926 in West. He preceded her in death on October 11, 1973. She was a dedicated housewife and mother. She was a seamstress for J.M. Woods Manufacturing Co. for 20 years before retiring in 1972. Prior to that, she worked for Donohue Laundry in West. She was a member of the K.J.Z.T. Society No. 11 and the Catholic Daughters of America Order No. 829, both in West. She was also a member of St. Marys Catholic Church in West. She was also preceded in death by one son, Henry Holecek, who died March 23, 1985. She is survived by two sons, Larry Holecek of Route 5, Waco, and L.A. Holecek of Route 1, Elm Mott; three daughters, Mrs. James (Marcella) George of Trinidad, Mrs. Harry (Mary Ann) Hykel and Mrs. Joe (Milada) Mazanec, both of West; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Jerry (Betty Ruth) Juroch of Mabank and Mrs. Eddie (Bobby) Juroch of Garland; 25 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers were Russell George, Greg Holecek, Stephen Holecek, Larry Hykel, David Holecek, Mike Mazanec, Jerry Mazanec and Nathan Holecek. Honorary pallbearers were Jimmy Holecek, George Hykel, Thomas Holecek, Richard George, Jeffrey George and Kenneth George. Aderhold Funeral Home in West was in charge of arrangements.
