Francis (sic) Hisvach (sic) and Enos Vap were married at the Bohemian Catholic church (sic) Tuesday, Upon their return home they were met by numerous friends, consisting of nearly the whole Bohemian neighborhood, who after partaking a sumptuous dinner, danced the afternoon away. ================== The Hastings Daily Tribune (Hastings, NE), Thursday, January 9, 1947; pg. 11 Enos Vap, Deweese, Dies in Hospital. Enos Vap, 63, of Deweese died late Wednesday night at the Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient since Monday. =================== The Hastings Daily Tribune (Hastings, NE), Tuesday, January 14, 1947; pg. 9 Vap Services Held at Deweese DEWEESE — Funeral services for Enos Vap were held Saturday morning at the Assumption Church with the Rev. Gregory C. Petrus officiating. Pallbearers were Frank Svoboda, Albert Vap, Ray Vap, Frank Vap, James Skalka and Rudolph Faimon. Interment was at Louchky (sic) Cemetery with the McLaughlin Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Vap, 62, died Thursday at the Mary Leaning Memorial Hospital in Hastings after a brief illness. He came to this country from Moravia as a small child, and had been in business in Deweese the past 30 years. Survivors are his wife, Francis; three daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Kucera, Mrs. Rose Petr and Mrs. Mary Pohlmeier, all of Nuckolls county (sic), and a son David at home. ==================== The Fairfield Auxiliary (Fairfield, NE), Thursday, January 16, 1947; pg. 1 ENOS VAP Enos Vap of Deweese passed away at the Mary Lanning hospital at Hastings, Jan. 8, 1947. He was born in Moravia February 1, 1884. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, one son, David and four daughters, Mrs. George Kucera, Deweese; Mrs. Joe Petr, Nelson; Mrs. Alvin Pohlmeier, Deweese; and Mrs. W. E. Rex of Pueblo, Colo. Funeral services were held at the Assumption Church Saturday morning, Jan. 11, with burial at the Loucky cemetery (sic).
