Rudolph Gruntorad, Deweese .......................... 29 Helen Maxiner (sic), Spring Ranch .................... 25 Issued April 14, 1938. ∼ The Fairfield Auxiliary (Fairfield, NE), Thursday, April 28, 1938; pg. 4 SPRING RANCH A very pretty wedding was solemnized at 9:00 o'cock (sic) Wednesday morning, April 20th, at the Loucky Catholic church (sic) when Miss Helen Maixner, became the bride of Rudolph Gruntorad, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Gruntorad of Morse Bluffs, Nebr. The marriage lines were read by Rev. Father Adrian Klepac of the Loucky Catholic church (sic), of which the bride ha been a member since childhood. The impressive wedding services of the Catholic church were used in celebration of the marriage vows. Following the wedding ceremony, the members of the bridal party motored to the home of the bride's parents, where a very dainty and much enjoyed wedding dinner had been arranged and where the happy young couple received the well wishes of their relatives and friends. A dance was held in the evening in the parish hall. The bride has grown to womanhood in this community where she has made her home since childhood She has been very active in the social life of the community. The groom, who has been staying with his sister, Mrs. John Karmazin, has a large circle of friends who will join their wishes for the future happiness and success of the young couple. Mr. and Mrs. Gruntorad will be at home on the George Schlick farm near Glenvil. ∼ The Lawrence Locomotive (Lawrence, NE), Thursday, February 4, 1982; pg. 1 Mrs. Rudolph Gruntorad Passes Away Mrs. Rudolph (Helen) Gruntorad, 69, of Deweese died Friday in Clarkson Memorial hospital at Omaha. Services were held Monday morning at 10:30 at our Lady of Assumption Church in Deweese with burial at St. Martins cemetery. A native of Spring Ranch, Mrs. Gruntorad was a lifetime resident of the Deweese community. She was a member of Our Lady of Assumption church and the Altar Society. Survivors include her husband, Rudolph; two daughters, Mildred Haws of Deweese and Cecilia Furmen of Hastings; two sons, Marion of Ordway, Colo., and Adrian of Deweese; two brothers, Albert Maixner of Deweese & Fred Maixner of Fairfield; two sisters, Mrs. Stella Kucera of Lawrence and Mrs. Mary Hamersky of Lincoln; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
