William Richard Dudley was born the son of Arthur Martin Dudley and Lucinda Jane Whisennand. They are buried in this cemetery. Willie was married to Janie Orabell Walton on January 19, 1904 in Marion, Linn County, Iowa. They were parents of four children: Lewis Carlton Dudley buried this cemetery; Burnita Sarah Jane Dudley Fisher buried this cemetery; Ruth Isador Dudley Moore buried this cemetery; Freda Louise Dudley Glass buried Westlawn Cemetery in Omaha, Nebraska. Janie died of a heart attack on December 7, 1936 in their home north of Troy Mills. Willie was briefly married to Violet Rebecca (Worstal) Buck/Allen on March 2, 1938 in Buchanan County, Iowa. Violet was born August 20, 1900. (Divorced) She died May 16, 1963 and is buried in Quasqueton, Iowa. Willie was married to Hazel Geneva (Kayser) Haberle on November 14, 1944 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Hazel was born July 18, 1895 at Belle Plaine, Iowa. Hazel died of heart attack enroute to St. Lukes Hospital on October 6, 1960. She is buried in Linwood Cemetery in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. ~0bit~ Funeral services for William R. Dudley, 85, of rural Troy Mills, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 28, at the Christian Church in Troy Mills. Mr. Dudley died Friday at St. Lukes Hospital in Cedar Rapids, where he had been a patient for several months. He was born July 24, 1884 at Spring Grove, the son of Arthur Martin and Lucinda Jane Whisennand Dudley. He had been a farmer and life long resident of the rural Troy Mills area. He was married to Janie Orabelle Walton January 19, 1904 at Marion, Iowa. She died in 1936. In 1944 he married Hazel Haberle. Mr. Dudley is survived by two daughters, Mrs. William (Ruth Isadore) Moore of Belle Plaine (buried this cemetey); and Mrs. Robert (Freda Louise) Glass of Omaha, Nebraska (died April 13, 2007) buried Westlawn-Hillcrest Memorial Park Omaha, Nebraska; three step-children, John and Richard Haberle and Velma Gearhart, all of Cedar Rapids; two brothers, John Clifford Dudley of Troy Mills and Lowell Arthur Dudley of Independence; one sister, Mrs. Walter (Dorothy Grace) Baty of Troy Mills; 10 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two wives, one son, Lewis Carlton Dudley, and one daughter, Burnita Sarah Jane Fisher. The Rev. Hugh Gormely officiated. Pallbearers were Stephen Robert Glass, Craig Dudley Glass, William Ronald Moore, William Arliss Dudley, Norman Richard Fisher and Russell Wayne Fisher.
