Source: Reynolds Funeral Home J. D. Wilson, 88, Buried Thursday J. D. Wilson, 88, a longtime resident of Somervell County, died Wednesday of last week in the local hospital after an illness of several days. He was born March 22, 1887, in Blairsville, Ga., son of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Wilson. His wife, the former Ora Abel whom he married May 21, 1910, preceded him in death. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors are seven sons, John D., Elbert, Murry, William, Ross and Doyle of Glen Rose and Roy of Lancaster; two daugthers, Mrs. J. M. Wood and Mrs. O. D. Gatewood of Fort Worth, 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral rites were held in Reynolds Funeral Chapel at 2:30 p.m. Thursday with Elder A. D. Wood Officiating. Burial was in the family plot in Lanham Mill Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons, Ronnie Wood and Ed, Bill Murry, Keith, Bobby and Mike Wilson. Reynolds Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
