Bio

Stephen was the son of Amos and Eliza Ann Jones Lasiter. After his father's death in the Civil War, his mother married James Carroll Jenkins. In 1870 Wood County census, Stephen is listed as a Jenkins. His mother is buried in Cedar Creek Cemetery. He married Margaret Jane Langston 4 September 1890 in Anderson Co, TX. Their sons, Allen Lasiter, Harley Lasiter, John Lasiter, Lude Lasiter, Seldon Lasiter and Thomas Willis "Tommy" Lasiter, and daughters, Annie Lasiter Fletcher and Mary Cynthia Lasiter Fletcher, are buried in Fields Chapel Cemetery. Their daughters, Eula Lasiter Lamb and Julia Lasiter Coker, are buried in Roselawn Cemetery.
