Bio

Julia was the daughter of Stephen Merriman and Margaret Jane Langston Lasiter. Her parents are buried in Fields Chapel Cemetery. She shares a stone with her husband, Johnnie Coker. Julia was residing in rural Anderson County at the time of her death 28 April 1986 in Palestine. She was survived by her husband; one daughter, Alice Margarite Coker Vannoy of Montalba; one son, Clifford Wayne Coker, of Kingsland, TX; three brothers, Allen Lasiter, Seldon Lasiter and Harley Lasiter, all of Palestine; and three grandchildren. Her obituary was published in the Palestine Herald-Press, Tuesday, 29 April 1986.
