Kenneth Holland, 73 of Ennis, passed away on August 10, 2007 at his home in Ennis. He was born in Ennis on Feb. 10, 1934 to Tom and Judy (Baldridge) Holland; married Naomi Elizabeth Durbin on Feb. 27, 1954; served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955 during the Korean War as a Helicopter Crew chief and Mechanic. He has worked in the printing business all his life and owned Corsicana Printing Company for the past 37 years. Kenneth graduated from St. John Catholic School in 1952 and was a member of the parish for over fifty-five years. He served as St. John's Eucharist Minister Ministry Coordinator for the past 15 years. He was a member of the American Legion and the Knights of Columbus. He loved his family and enjoyed playing golf. Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Elizabeth; children Kenneth (Scooter) Holland and his wife Rita, Marty Holland and his wife Theresa, Michael Holland, Linda Bruton and her husband Coary; grandchildren Brian and Kristi, April and Jake Holland; Christina and Paul Williamson and Kenny Holland; Olivia, Julie and Penny Holland; Charlie and Kristy Prachyl, Jessica Prachyl and Dale Sigler, Katie and Taylor Bruton. He is survived by great-grandchildren Austen Holland, Josh Williamson, Charlie Prachyl, Jordan, Zach and Cameran Wilson. Kenneth has many loving nieces and nephews and a dear friend Carl Prachyl, father of Charlie and Jessica Prachyl. He is also survived by his brother Thomas Holland and wife Pat; sisters Eloise Calhoun and Melba Smith; sisters-in-law Sylvan Durbin and Anna Galetka and brother-in-law Mark Anthony Durbin and his wife Anna Jo. He was preceded in death by his parents, two infant daughters, his brother Wayland and his wife Billie, brother and sister-in- laws Jimmy and Helen Durbin, brother-in-law, Joe John Galetka, Clara Rita Pevito and great granddaughter Emma Rose Williamson. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am Monday August 13th at St. John Catholic Church with Father Fred Caldwell as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm on Sunday Aug. 12 with a Rosary at 7pm at Keevers Mortuary in Ennis. Memorials may be sent to St. John Catholic Church or School. Pallbearers are grandsons: Brian, Jake and Kenny Holland, Charlie Prachyl, Dale Sigler and Paul Williamson.
