Elizabeth Holland, 76, of Ennis, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2011 at her home. She was born in Ennis on January 21, 1935 to Gus and Naomi (Lindle) Durbin and graduated from St. John Catholic School in 1953. On February 27, 1954, she married Kenneth Boyd Holland. Elizabeth worked for Ennis Business Forms until her retirement in 1979. Up until the time of her death she served as president of Corsicana Printing Company. Elizabeth's life was filled with love for her family and church. She enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren and being involved in their school activities. Elizabeth was a member of St. John Catholic Church where she was the coordinator for RCIA and also helped with confirmation class. She enjoyed assisting her husband in coordinating the Eucharistic Minister schedule and classes, helping in the religious goods store at church and took pride in sewing clothes for the Infant Jesus of Prague statue. Elizabeth loved Christmas, enjoyed playing dominoes, bowling, cross-stitching and making quilts for her grandchildren. Elizabeth is survived by her four children, sons: Kenneth Holland, Jr. (Scooter) and his wife, Rita, Marty Holland and his wife, Theresa; Michael Holland; and daughter, Linda Bruton. She is also survived by grandchildren: Brian and Crystal, April, Jake & Jessica Holland; Christina & Paul Williamson and Kenny Holland; Charlie and Kristy Prachyl; Jessica and Dale Sigler; Katie and Taylor Bruton; Olivia Bear-King, Julie and Penny Holland as well as 14 great-grandchildren. Elizabeth is survived by two sisters: Anna Galetka of Ennis and Sister Sylvan Durbin of San Antonio. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth, on August 10, 2007, as well as two infant daughters and a great-grand daughter, Emma Rose Williamson. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 with Rosary being at 7 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at 1 p.m. in St. John Catholic Church. Serving as pallbearers are her grandsons: Brian, Jake & Kenny Holland; Charlie Prachyl, Dale Sigler and Paul Williamson. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of J.E.
