GERALDINE "JUDY" HOLLAND Mrs. Geraldine Holland, 98, known as Judy to all who knew and loved her, died Sunday, Nov. 23, 2003, at the IOOF Nursing Home in Ennis. She was born May 25, 1905 in Alma, the daughter of Joseph E. and Vinnie Lee Beene Baldridge. She was reared in Alma where she graduated high school. In 1945 she was employed by EBF as a plate mounter. She retired in 1970. She was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church, BP&W and the Ennis Rebekah Lodge. In 1976 she was named Bicentennial Queen of Ennis. She was full of life and had a smile for everyone. She is survived by four generations of family; 3 sons, Thomas and Pat Holland, Wayland Holland, Kenneth and Elizabeth Holland; 2 daughters, Melba and Arnold Smith, Eloise Calhoun all of Ennis; 17 grand-children; 39 great grandchildren; 26 great great grandchildren; and a favorite niece, Furlie Stone of Ennis. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Gerland, James and Dony Baldridge and 2 sisters, Vera Evarts and Dimple Johnson. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Myrtle Cemetery with Rev. Richard Moody officiating under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
