Bio

Eloise Calhoun, 89, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2013, in Ennis, Texas. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, May 2, 2013, in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. A Celebration of her life will take place at 2 p.m., Friday, May 3, 2013, in the Fundamental Baptist Church of Palmer with Rev. Gary Miller and James Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Myrtle Cemetery. Eloise was born in Alma, Texas, to the late Thomas and Geraldine (Baldridge) Holland. She worked for many years at Dan's Towne House and then for Ray Glenn and Jerry Wester and at the Avenue Drive-In. Eloise was a member of the Fundamental Baptist Church of Palmer and a former member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church of Ennis. She was also a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She is preceded in death by brothers, Wayland, Thomas and Kenneth Holland; and a grandson, Shaun Robinson. She is survived by sons, Butch Calhoun and Reggie Calhoun; daughters, Sandra Kinsler, Sharon Gooch and her husband, Harry, Nancy Robinson and her husband, Everett, Debra Williams, and Dana Farris; 12 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Melba Smith; many other relatives and numerous friends.
