Daughter of Dennis Quinn and Elizabeth Day McGann. Wife of Harvey J. Getchius. She was born and spent her earliest years in Birmingham, England. Mary trained as a nurse at Seton Hospital in Austin, Texas. Lived and worked as a (public health) nurse in Wichita Falls, Texas in the 1920s, 30s, and 40s. Sources report different birth years.
