Bio
Ben B. Beseda, age 87 of West, formerly of Penelope and Dallas, died Tuesday morning in Hillcrest Medical Center of West. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Kotch Funeral Home Chapel, in West. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Catholic Church of Nativity, B.V.M., with the Rev. Ron Sheible, O.S.A. as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Penelope. Mr. Beseda was born August 12, 1912 in Penelope and had lived in Dallas for a number of years He had been a resident of West for the past three years. He married Esther B. Cernosek on September 13, 1937 in Penelope. Mr. Beseda started to school at Griffin and graduated from Penelope High in 1931. He attended Trinity at Waxahachie until 1933, transferring to Texas University in 1934 and continuing until 1940. He was awarded a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with minors in Education and Science n 1941. Mr. Beseda taught school at Griffin for three years; Threadwell for four years and Penelope for two years. He left his teaching career to work at Aerospace in the manufacturing engineering department at LTV in Grand Prairie, until retirement in 1976. He was a member of St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Dallas and the KJT Society. Survivors include his wife, Esther of West; one son, Allen Beseda and his wife, Linda of Arlington; one daughter, Inez Thompson of Irving; one brother, Raymond Beseda of Penelope; one sister, Irene Lenart of Penelope; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Active pallbearers will be Brent Beseda, Mark Beseda, Nick Wilson, Craig Latta, Coy Stephens and Kenny Lenart. Honorary pallbearers are the Arlington Police Department Honor Guard.
