Bio
Rhea Ashton Shaw, our wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on September 16, 2009 while surrounded by her family at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo. She was born in Lehi on September 6, 1933 to Henry Marvin Ashton and Rosa Martina Hansen Ashton, the 7th of 8 children. She married William Ray Shaw on September 19, 1952. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Provo LDS Temple. Together they raised 6 children in Lehi. She is survived by her husband, Bill of 57 years and children; David (Mary), Sharon (Mark) Frei, Kenneth (Holly), Janet, Craig, Phyllis (Michael) Bohling, her mother-in-law, Mabel Minneman, as well as 6 grandchildren, her brother Bruce (Helen) Ashton, sisters, Lucille Robinson and Faye (Allen) Adams, sisters-in-law, Lucille Ashton and Jeanne (Jim) Sisson, brother-in-law, John Bennett, and extended family. Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Lehi City Cemetery. Family and friends may call on Saturday morning from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at Wing Mortuary, 118 East Main Street, Lehi. Published in the Daily Herald on September 18, 2009.
