Bio

Cleo Ashton Poma, 90, loving mother, grandma, great grandma and great great grandma passed away March 15, 2008 at her home on the South Towne Ranch in Sandy, Utah surrounded by her loving family. Cleo was born October 4, 1917 in Lehi, Utah to Rosa Hansen and Marvin Ashton. She married Louie Joseph Poma October 11, 1934 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on December 16, 1982. Louie passed away November 22, 2004. They are the parents of two daughters, Denece and Bonnie. Cleo was an active member of the LDS Church. She will be remembered for her beautiful paintings and artwork, and her Sunday family get-togethers. She is survived by her son in law, Dale Howlett; 6 grandchildren, Kevin (Sandra) Howlett, Steven (Lisa) Howlett, Brad (MaryAnn) Howlett, Todd (Julie) Kemp, Craig (Elena) Kemp and Kim (David) Michaeli; 13 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Faye (Allen) Adams, Lucille Robinson, and Rhea (Wm.) Shaw; and a brother, Bruce (Helen) Ashton. Preceded in death by two daughters and son in law Denece Howlett and Bonnie and Phillip Kemp; a grandson, Brian Howlett; a great granddaughter, Jessica Howlett; a brother, Douglas Ashton and a sister, Vida Bennett. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 18th 2008 at 2 pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy, Utah, where Friends and Family may call from 12:30 – 1:45 pm prior to the Services. Interment: Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery. REST IN ETERNAL PEACE.
