Marguerite Holbrook, 87, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009. Funeral: 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Marguerite was born March 1, 1922, to James Neil and Leta Mae Shelton. Marguerite was preceded in death by her husband. Survivors: Sons, Thomas Carter, Maurice Carter and wife, Donna; grandchildren, Richard Carter, Katherine Little, Phillip Carter and Christopher Carter; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Marie Hammit and Naomi Neely; and brother, Charles Shelton.
