William Frank "Bill" Shelton, 76, passed away Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008, at a local care center. Service: 9:30 a.m. Monday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. William was born April 10, 1932, in Colleyville to Leta and Neil Shelton. He served his country in the U.S. Army and retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 40 years of service. Bill was a member of Decatur Avenue Baptist Church in Fort Worth. He was preceded in death by his wife, Claudine; a son, Larry; a daughter, Kim; son-in-law, Larry; brothers, Alfred and Tom; and grandson, Brandon. Survivors: Daughters, Dody Hodges and husband, Robert, of Fort Worth, Cindy Wilson of Hurst, Brenda Sifuentes and husband, Joe, of Ennis and Denise King and husband, Joe, of Keller; sons, Michael Shelton of Streetman, Daryl Shelton and wife, Johnna, of Krum and Preston Nance and wife, Ilene, of Granbury; sisters, Marguerite Holbrook of Fort Worth, Naomi Neely of Euless and Marie Hammit and husband, Dee, of The Woodlands; brother, Charles Shelton of Alvarado; 19 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
