Springville Man Dies In Hospital SPRINGVILLE - Wallace Marsh Gurr, 84, 1162 S. 400 E., died Tuesday at the Payson City Hospital of natural causes. He was born Feb. 7, 1886 in Richfield, a son of Ruben and Margaret Marsh Gurr. He married Bathsheba James on May 20, 1908 at Pacheco, Chihuahua, Mexico. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mrs. Gurr died Jan. 3, 1966. Mr. Gurr was a member of the LDS Church, serving a stake mission and working in the ward genealogy committee. He was an ordinance worker in the Salt Lake LDS Temple for 15 years. He was employed at Pacific States Cast Iron Pipe Company for 26 years. Surviving are two sons and six daughters, Wallace Gurr, Eugene Gurr, Mrs. Omar (LaVon) Hansen, and Mrs. Lyman (Margaret) Hamblin, all of Springville; Mrs. Della Baum of Spanish Fork; Mrs. David O. (Loa) McKay of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Austin (Wanda) Barney of Ogden; and Mrs. Dexter (Beth) Wilberg of Orem; 38 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; a brother and sister, Thomas M. Gurr of Burley, Ida.; and Mrs. Philo (Addie) Edwards of American Fork. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. in the Wheeler Mortuary chapel, Springville, where friends may call Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. or Friday prior to services. Burial will be in the Provo City Cemetery.
