Bio

From a history written by Ruth's sister, Addie Gurr Edwards: "It seems this good couple had to have sorrows along with their happiness, sorrows that were a test of their faith and courage. Their little daughter, Ruth, who was then four years of age, was playing with some little friends in the backyard of their home. The children had gotten some matches and made a fire. Little Ruth turned her back to it and her dress caught fire. She was badly burned, living just a few hours before passing away."
