The Bonham Daily Favorite, Bonham, Texas, Thursday, 25 Oct 1951, Page Five Emory Newton Gist Rites Set Friday Funeral services for Emory Newton Gist, 66, who died in Allen Memorial Hospital at 8 o'clock this morning, have been announced for 2 p.m. Friday at Wise Funeral Chapel with Rev. Will Rudd officiating. Interment will be in Little Jordan Cemetery. Mr. Gist was born June 28, 1885 at Decatur, Texas. Survivors are his wife; Mrs. Bessie Gist; a son, T. E. Gist, Sherman; two daughters, Mrs. Walter Beckham, Savoy; Mrs. W. B. Monroe, Longview; two sisters, Mrs. S. O. Martin, Sherman; Mrs. Walter Woodward, Wolfe City; seven grandchildren. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Son of Newton Gist and Savannah Swearingen, husband of Nellie Alma Baldwin.
