============================= ~ SAVANNAH SWEARINGIN GIST ~ ============================ HOMEMAKER Information from a Texas obituary: Mrs. Savannah Elizabeth Gist, grandmother of Joe Johnson of Whitewright, died at 1:40 p. m. Monday at Shawnee, Oklahoma. Funeral services were held at Shawnee Tuesday afternoon, and were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Joe Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Baugher of Whitewright. Pallbearers were Mrs. Gist's grandsons. Mrs. Gist made her home here with the family of her son-in-law, R. L. Johnson, for several years following Mrs. Johnson's death. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. S. O. Martin of Shawnee and Mrs. Walter Woodward of Wolfe City; two sons, E. N. Gist of Ector and L. R. Gist of Paris; one sister, Mrs. Naomi Daisey of Delta, Colo., and a number of grandchildren. *maiden surname extracted from Texas death certificate of her son.
